About
Fergus Floyd is an architecture photographer based in Melbourne, Australia, working across residential, civic, cultural and commercial architecture. For the past ten years, he has worked with architects, designers and project teams to create considered photography that communicates the character, detail and atmosphere of a project. His approach begins with understanding the brief. Careful planning, preparation, observation and timing are central to his process.
Before becoming a photographer, Fergus worked in senior event management, coordinating large-scale mass-participation running events. That experience continues to inform his approach to photography: plan carefully, communicate clearly, pay attention to the details and be prepared for whatever happens on the day.
Fergus’ work has been published by Architecture Photography Almanac and ArchDaily, and he was a finalist in both the Project of the Year and Photo of the Year categories in the Architecture Photography Almanac awards in 2023.
Based in Melbourne, Fergus is available for projects locally, interstate and internationally.
